There aren’t enough words to describe how much of a dream wedding this was. It was full of love, friends and family helping, 2 family style tables, homemade food and deserts, laughter…I could go on and on.

Paige and Rich are getting married this Saturday and I couldn’t be more excited! 30 guests, no wedding party, at a beach house on the west coast of Florida…

They told me, during the engagement shoot, that if it rains on their wedding day they are going to let the guests watch from the house and they are going to get married in the rain on the beach. Guess who will be right there with them.

This is a shoot that has been in the works for a while…at least in my mind. I knew I wanted to do an American themed shoot at my grandfather’s cabin in Nashville, Georgia. It was just putting everything together that took a little bit of time. I remember starting to ask vendors to help me and when they said yes I was doing the happy dance in my office! I started writing designers on Etsy to let me use some of their beautiful dresses or head pieces or lingerie. I didn’t know if they would write back, but I thought, “What’s the worst thing that could happen?!” To my surprise, everyone was all in. Everyone that worked on making my vision come to life did so with such enthusiasm and gusto! From the beautiful models to the florist. It was a dream team and I couldn’t have been more blessed. As if seeing it all come to life wasn’t enough, to be featured on Ruffled Blog was just icing on the yummy cake. Thank you so much to everyone involved and I TRULY could not have done any of this without you.

Sarah is very dear to my heart, so when she asked me to photograph her wedding it was a no brainer. I love this girl so much and I know that Anthony does, too. It’s so special when you not only get to photograph a friends wedding, but they also invite you to be a guest. Thomas and I enjoyed ourselves so much at this wedding and the Buccaneer Restaurant (which is part of the Sailfish Marina) was so warm and personal.

Couldn’t be more thrilled then to have two of my very close friends featured on Style Me Pretty Florida today!!!

Krysten Suzanne and Andrew Thomas are two people so dear to my heart. It’s hard to believe that Krysten and I met about a year ago. It feels like so much longer than that. Over the past few months of wedding planning with her, I knew I HAD to be the one to photograph her wedding. I just knew how special this day was going to be. This wedding had so much hand crafted love in the details. Krysten and I went antique and thrift shopping for her glass bowls on the tables. Krysten hand wrote all of the place cards for the reception. I helped her with the invites and RSVP cards. I also did her makeup, which was really neat for me. I made the time to set my camera down and spend a few minutes applying her makeup and getting to talk with her. It was such a special time for me and I felt so honored to be around her for the few days leading up to the wedding. I enjoyed all of our trips to Michael’s and Joann Fabric. Our friend Katherine helped Krysten and I with the programs two nights before the wedding. One folded, one cut out the edges, and one stamped the tree on the front. I knew this wedding was going to be special and beautiful, but I had no idea of the magnitude.

Krysten and Andrew opted for the first look, which I always encourage my couples to do. They had a few moments that were just for the two of them. Another moment I was so honored to be their photographer. These are the times that I feel so blessed to have the job that I do. By the time Krysten walked down the isle, she and Andrew were calm as could be. I, on the other hand, was a wreck! I cried like a baby as soon as she took her first steps down the stairs. The whole day was perfection, but it wasn’t because of the handmade programs or vintage shoes. The day was perfect because two people that were meant to find each other found each other.

They are back in Tallahassee now. Nothing has changed. If you hang around them you see that it’s just as it was before. January 7th 2012 was just a day that everyone else got to witness what the two of them have been showing each other from day 1.

I love you both. I don’t usually add music to my blog posts, but because of your love of the Beatles I added Blackbird. I find it perfect.

This is a very VERY dear wedding to me. I had the honor of photographing two really good friends this past weekend at the Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club. I kept telling myself I wasn’t going to post a sneak peek because I wanted it to be a really big surprise for the two of them. I just couldn’t help myself, though. These images are just too gorgeous! I can’t wait to post the rest. I love you both!

Sara has been my best friend since we were 13. She is part of my soul. We decided to do some of the session outside and finish it up in their adorable home. I love you both and I can’t wait to be a part of your wedding next month.
