I could get used to shooting LA Boudoir photography! The girls at Love Ophelia got into this business for all of the right reasons. Kristi did it for her mother who passed away due to breast cancer a few years ago. How can you not get teared up by that? They are so warm and kind and caring. They just want to make women feel beautiful and comfortable.
I am very passionate about this 2013 line by Love Ophelia and felt very honored to be the one to photograph it. I contacted Kristi, the owner, about collaborating and it went from me just thinking I was going to be shooting a few garments to photographing her whole 2013 collection. When all of that lingerie arrived (all 62 pieces) it was overwhelming and exciting! I only had about 10 hours to photograph all of it, as well as a storyboard. I had Megan and Veronica drive from Jacksonville the night before (they are my angels) and we started at 5:30 the following morning. We shot the whole thing in my home. It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Cat Reichert doing the hair and my AMAZING friend Krysten Grimes helping with all of the steaming and styling and well…everything! Megan (that’s right, she’s not just a model) did the makeup for both girls. This was all on top of Megan having a fever and being very sick. It was a dream come true for me and it all happened because of the amazing support beside me.
