Where do I even start with these two? It’s hard for me to come up with words that encompass what I feel for Krysten and Andrew. Krysten was the first friend I made in Tallahassee and she holds a special place in my heart. We cook together, craft together, laugh together, and have been blessed enough to be planning our weddings at the same time…together. Krysten is one of those give you her shirt off her back type people. I truly feel honored to be the one to take their engagement pictures and that I’m going to be the one to capture their wedding. During the shoot Krysten wanted to make sure I got pictures of the quilt because her great grandmother made it; her dishes, because they have been in her family for so long; her scarf because she crocheted it herself; Andrew playing his guitar because he writes her songs. Needless to say, this shoot had a lot of meaning. I think she gave me one of the best compliments I have ever received from anyone I have photographed. She said,”Shannon, no one gets to see this side of Andrew. No one gets to see the way he looks at me when they aren’t around. You captured it perfectly. You have given us images that we will be able to show our children and say ‘this is how in love we were’.” Wow.
I’m also posting these on Krysten’s birthday. I hope it’s a great one and I can’t wait to share many more with you! Happy Birthday my dear.
