As a wedding photographer I get to build relationships with some of the most amazing couples. Lissete and Aaron go above and beyond just being my client. They have become my friends. The love they have for one another, and for others, is just inspiring. They say that they feel lucky to have met me, but oh, how I feel like the blessed one! It was such a special day, and I must warn you, this is my longest blog post to date.
The reason for such a long post is not only because of the love, but also the time and energy Lissete and her loved ones put into making this day so magical. Lissete made most of the details you will see here. Brides…if you want to be inspired to do your own cost effective, yet gorgeous, wedding, just feast your eyes on this beautiful wedding! I mean, down to the last detail! Even the book, which is her favorite book, she used it for the rings and for her daughter, Sophie to use to walk the rings down the isle. Her MOH was Lourdes and she helped set everything up. Lissete even designed her flowers with the help of a wholesale florist, Tawney, of Mayesh Wholesale Florist in Doral. Her make up was done by her cousin, Michelle Vera, who freelances and also works for Peter of London. She made her headband herself after seeing that purchasing was expensive and she knew she had the talent to sew. Her cake was fabulously cute and created by Ana Paz. Her dress from Allure Bridals. Every thing was DYI, she got the vases and decor literally everywhere…West Elm, Anthropologie, Pier1Imports….the craft stuff through online vendors, the rest at Michael’s, Joann’s, Ulta Fabrics. Now, you understand why I felt the need to include all of the details!
On a more sentimental note, her brother, who has spent the past two years back and forth overseas, got in a few days before her wedding. His name is Jose and he means the world to Lissete. There were a lot of special moments the two shared during the day. I was just glad to be there to catch some of them. Also, after the ceremony, Lissete and Aaron surprised Lissete’s daughter, Sophie, with a beautiful necklace that read “Our Family”. She cried, they cried, I cried! Everyone cried!
Okay, okay, just enjoy!
